​Pa'Lante Theater Company seeks enthusiastic volunteers for a variety of roles. As a volunteer, you will have an opportunity to meet many new and exciting people and attend quality performances. All volunteers are friendly and welcoming individuals who enhance the experience of our audiences.

Ushers

• Seating patrons: Direct audience members to their designated seats, navigating them through the theater layout. 

• Customer service: Answer questions, address concerns, and provide assistance to patrons throughout the performance. 

• Crowd control: Monitor aisles and seating areas to maintain order and ensure safety during the show. 

• Emergency preparedness: Be aware of emergency procedures and assist in evacuations if needed. 

• Lost and found: Locate and manage lost items, directing owners to the lost and found. 

• Program distribution: May distribute playbills or programs to patrons. 

• Enforcement of policies: Enforce theater policies regarding things like cell phone usage and prohibited items. 

• Communication with staff: Collaborate with other front-of-house staff to maintain smooth operations. 

Box Office

• Ticket sales: Sell tickets in person, by phone, by mail, or online 

• Ticketing system: Use ticketing software to process orders

• Customer service: Respond to customer questions and complaints 

• Cash handling: Maintain cash levels, reconcile sales, and ensure cash security

Concessions Stand

• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and provide prompt service.  

• Food preparation: Prepare food items like popcorn and pre-packaged snacks according to standards. 

• Cash handling: Operate a cash register, handle payments, and provide accurate change. 

• Inventory management: Stock concession stand with food and beverage items, monitor inventory levels, and rotate products to maintain freshness. 

• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, including counters, equipment, and food preparation areas.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Team-player

• The ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Must wear and provide your own black attire, no open toe shoes
